Illegal Clearing (Icing) - Notification of Change

Effective from September 1st, 2010
The NZIHA on the recommendation of the Referee Committee advise that the following rule change will come into affect as of September 1st.

Rule 620 Illegal Clearing (Icing)

For all running time games there will be no Illegal Clearing (ICING) calls, this includes when the game moves into "stop time"  in the last 2 minutes and the score is drawn or within a 1 goal difference.

The recommendation regarding a game time change will be discussed as an agenda item at the Club Forum to be held on November 6th in Auckland.

Updated NZIHA Rule Books will be available to clubs wishing to purchase at NZ National Championships (from the tournament office).
