All Female Inline Hockey League Update
The New Plymouth weekend of the National All-Women League was a huge success, with over 100 girls and women travelling to the tournament and having an awesome weekend! See Review here
The future looks bright for all-female hockey given the number of committed players coming through from junior and intermediate age groups. It is important to have our senior players mentor these younger players providing knowledge, skill and encouragement. It was unfortunate Round 2 could not offer enough teams to proceed with the Senior Women, timing and availability were factors in this decision.
Planning is underway towards ensuring a development pathway can be undertaken utilising the achievements and learnings experienced this year. The aim is to get information out before the end of 2024, to allow players more time to prepare and to liaise with other activities to compliment the annual “activity” calendar in 2025.
