Te Omeka Pairama Akariri-Buckley

It is with much sadness we acknowledge the passing of Te Omeka Pairama Akariri-Buckley.

“Te Omeka is the kid with the biggest heart, he would give everyone the biggest hug and kiss whenever he saw them, it didn’t matter where he was or who he was with! He would stop, while he was working at Countdown, half the time he would ditch his work if he saw someone to go and have a chat, with the biggest grin on his face.

He was never short for words. He truly was the happiest, cheekiest person you would ever meet.

He loved his sports, both Inline Hockey and Rugby League and music and he was always singing and playing his guitar.”

Te Omeka was a past member of Ravens Inline Hockey with close ties to current members.

Te Omeka’s tangi will be held Monday 5 August in Waitara.
