The second IHNZ Matariki series is done and dusted for 2023!

Another amazing experience, and so proud to see the effort and dedication to our sport as well as the sportsmanship and mentoring shown with our up and coming players.
Congratulations to the Waitā team led by Scott Henry from Mt Wellington Panthers for taking out the overall Matariki Series title!
Results were:

- Hiwa-i-te-rangi
- Tupuānuku
- Ururangi
Saturday evening saw the Centre Ice sponsored Team Mission and Team Bauer Exhibition game being a huge success with Team Mission taking out the win in overtime!
Fantastic to see the battles of yesteryear come back to the fore with the skill and pace they were known for. Team Mission went into the break with a half time score of 3-1. Team Bauer scored 3 goals late into the second half to tie the game and force an overtime. Team Mission scored in the first couple of minutes to take the win and continue their long standing unbeaten tradition.
Huge thanks to everyone who helped make the weekend a success and particularly to Centre Ice, IHNZ and the Ravens Inline Hockey Club. Looking forward to next years Team Mission and Bauer’s battles already!
